Your evolution MOUSE-TRAK Trackball has been designed with user configurable features to improve your effeciency. The default configuration is as follows (keys are numbered left to right):

• Key 1 Speed Key
• Key 2 Logical Key 1 (left key) single click
• Key 3 Logical Key 1 double click
• Key 4 Logical Key 1 click and drag
• Key 5 Logical Key 2 (middle key) single
• Key 6 Logical Key 3 (right key) single

Configuring the evolution MOUSE-TRAK for Left Hand Operation

A unique feature of the evolution MOUSE-TRAK, is its ability to shift from right hand to left hand operation by a simple chording (pressing multiple keys at once like playing a chord on a piano) of the keys. In default setting, your evolution MOUSE-TRAK is programmed for right hand operation. To temporarily reverse the functions of the left and right keys, for left hand operations, follow these steps:

Step 1: Press keys 1 and 6 simultaneously for at least 5 seconds.

The evolution MOUSE-TRAK will acknowledge this action with an audible tone of 4 seconds.

Step 2: Press keys 2 and 5 simultaneously for at least 5 seconds.

The evolution MOUSE-TRAK will acknowledge this action by a second audible tone of 4 seconds and enters programming mode.

Step 3: Press key 1 to begin programming sequences.

The evolution MOUSE-TRAK will acknowledge this action by two 0.5 second tones and one 2 second tone.

Step 4: Press key 5 to load the default left hand settings.

The evolution MOUSE-TRAK will acknowledge this action with three 0.5 second tones and five 2 second tones.

The evolution MOUSE-TRAK is now programmed for left handed use and it will remain in left handed mode even if power is turned off.
